Okay Folks, Here's the current plan for the Panama City Dive trip.
A small group is leaving Sunday and is going to make a stop off in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Monday they will be diving with a local dive shop there, please be there no later than 7am. This will be about a 6 hours trip. Doug, James, Jim, Jay, Kevin and Clay are the small group going there. If you'd like to try out Gulf Shores also, contact either Doug or James for details. Camping and Hotels (La Quinta) are available I believe. Please note, they will not be diving the USS Oriskany ( I think that's how it's spelled LOL).
From there they will leave Tuesday morning and continue on to Panama City joining the rest of the group at St. Andrews State Park camping. Hotels are also close by in the area for those not interested in camping. If conditions look good on Tuesday, we may do a jetty dive at the lagoon. Wednesday morning all divers need to be at the dive shop no later than 8am to get in, get tanks, and get details. The shop is just outside St. Andrews State Park, at the corner of Thomas Drive and Bristol Street. Please let Doug know in advance if you will be diving nitrox or not. Last year each boat dive was about a 3 to 4 hour deal. We usually got back to the dock just around lunch time.
