BUC Club Meeting March 17th This months meeting consisted of Officer Elections (nothing new officers stayed the same), discussions of this years BUC trips and get togethers. We decided to give the Texas Clipper a try this year on August 8th. Our Spring DiveIn and Equipment check out is going to be May 30th (all are welcome).

BUC Club Meeting Feb 21st This Month's meeting will not be held on it's usual Tuesday. Instead, we are moving it to Saturday afternoon. This is so that the folks from The Cambrian Foundation, Amy and Terrence, can meet with us and tell us about their Foundation. The presentation should begin around 4pm at Hydrosports. Hopefully we'll be able to fit everyone. Don't forget with your paid club dues, ya get a free club Tshirt. Ya'll be sure to come and vote for this years officers. If anyone would like to nominate themselves, be sure to speak up. As of yet there have been no new nominations for Club Officers. Officers don't forget board meeting Tuesday Feb 3rd at 6:30pm. See ya there!

BUC Club Meeting January 20th

The Christmas party was a big hit this year. Lots of new faces to be seen. This month Dan T. will be showing us pics and maybe vids from his last trip. Which as anyone who has ever seen his presentations can atest, is worth the visit. We will also be discussing BUC plans for club trips and if you'd like to put together a group to go to one of your favorite spots, come on in and put it on the table. You never know, one of our "old timers" may have been there, too! Who knows, you may even find a new dive buddy! We're always interested in trying out new areas. We will also at this time be taking nominations for Club officers, to be voted on in February.

Also coming up is the Texas Dive Show at the Reliant Center. January 24th and 25th. Visit www.Texasdiveshow.com for more details. Thank you James for reminding us of this.

For next month, we're in the process of getting folks from the Cambrian Foundation come out and show us what they're all about and what they've done. We will send out an email when the date is finalized, and it will be posted here. From what I've seen so far they are a great bunch of researchers. See ya there! www.cambrianfoundation.org

BUC Club Meeting November 18th

November's meeting consisted of a wide assortments of desserts both sweet and cool!!! Thanks to all who came. We also got to see some really funny documentaries about diving shipwrecks. Not supposed to be funny, but you know us... we'll make fun of any show that is unbelievable enough. I mean come on, diving to over 180 ft. on ONE 80cu tank??? get real. Attacked by Pirates...LOL yep it was silly but fun.

BUC Club Meeting October 21st

October's meeting consisted of highlights from the Utila trip. If you can't make it to the flea market this year, and you have something you wand to try to sell at Bay Area Diver's Flea Market please bring it Be sure to tag it so we know what is whose. Trashfest was (as always) a successful cleanup with (literally) tons of trash taken out of the Comal River. Thanks to all who participated

BUC Club Meeting Sept 16th

September's meeting will be a presentation of the Utila trip. All who went and took pictures are welcome to come and show us your outstanding photography skills. It's basically gonna be an open forum for anyone who went to show off their photo's and tell about the trip. In all fairness, we ask that you keep it as brief as possible to allow all others to show as well. The following Saturday BUC will have a table as The annual Flea Market. If you want to sell something but can't go, bring it to the meeting, and we'll make some arrangements. Anyone interested in Trashfest should also attend this months meeting to let Cindy Brown know you want to go. If you need a ride or whatever, this will be a great time to hook up.

BUC Club Meeting June 17th

June 17's meeting was pretty good guys. Thanks Kevin for a very informative presentation on Texas Balmorhea/San Solomon Springs and New Mexico's Bottomless Lake State Park outside of Roswell and the Gila Wilderness area. Both Altitude dives looked to be well worth the trip. Welcome New Member Colin Gray!

Concerning the Gulf Shores/Panama City Trip, Doug needs your money for the dives now. Right now we have about 8 divers going to Gulf Shores and 11 divers going to Panama City.

BUC Club Meeting May 20th

Helge brought us some really spectacular photography of Fiji. And lots of great info and maps for those wanting to travel there. Michelle gave us the rundown on the Freediving clinic she and John Little went to in the Cayman Islands. Wow, what an adventure. Over 5 minute breath hold. You go Michelle!

BUC Club Meeting April

We've set our Spring BUC DIVE-IN for May 10th. We will be BBQing in the morning for an afternoon lunch, feel free to bring a covered dish to add to the table. We'll be cooking up some sausage, ribs, steaks, maybe some shrimp, and who knows what else might show up. We'll be doing a morning dive between 9 or 10 am. Lunch between 12 and 1pm. We're going to be setup at Pavillion 13 and maybe 14 too. This is the best location in my opinion, it offers a short swim to some good underwater features.$20 for divers, $10 for Non-divers, kids under 10 get in free.

His recent trip to Indonesia, including coastal Java near Jakarta and a wreck dive off Bali. Wonderful variety of fish life ful of size and color. Pictures also viewable here. Lots and Lots of soft corals, starfish, nudibranch, giant clams, batfish, scorpionfish, lionfish, a moray at a cleaning station, and even a video shot by his cousin of an enormous sunfish.
